What do YOU have in mind? Kenwood can create almost any furniture design you can imagine and has created custom solid wood desks, sideboards, tables (including conference and boardroom tables), entertainment centers, china hutches, dressers and built in storage cabinets.
Once a furniture design has been chosen the process of selecting the appropriate wood begins. A large part of the Kenwood look is custom matching for color and wood grain. Adjacent drawer fronts are cut from the same board for continuity. Rails and stiles for doors and face frames are matched. Rough stock is re-sawn width-wise and laminated together to form book-matched panels. The responsibility for this fine detail goes to the cabinet maker assigned to that project and is an integral element in the hand crafted look of a Kenwood Design cabinet or piece of handmade, solid wood furniture.
Final features include finishing and hardware. Whether it be a hand-rubbed oil finish, painted, custom mixed stain, glaze or clear lacquer there is an appropriate match to each custom wood furniture piece.
