features two lines of high quality kitchen cabinets:
Face frame and European overlay - Both kitchen cabinet systems utilize the latest in European hardware in all cabinetry including undermount full-extension slides with self-closing mechanism, clip-on six-way adjustable hinges, pullout waste bins, towel racks and recycling centers.
Kenwood's flexibility allows a wide range of features in your kitchen cabinets. The main feature is the customizing of cabinet widths and heights for a truly built-in, wall-to-wall cabinet look.
Details are our specialty - Dovetailed solid wood drawers, decorative shelving, wooden spice racks and cutlery trays are additional custom wood elements available to complement your personal kitchen design.
The responsibility of integrating these details into design and production falls to the owner of Kenwood Designs, Rick Maddison.
Working personally with the home owner, architect or kitchen designer, Rick brings all elements together to create your unique custom wood kitchen. He then follows this process through to installation of the cabinetry.
Face Frame
The face-frame style of kitchen cabinet features flush mounted doors and drawer fronts in a 1½ inch rail and stile frame. This frame can be a plain Shaker style or may be profiled with a simple bead or decorative fluting.
Kenwood Designs modern adaptation of the traditional face frame style can be fitted with the latest in European hidden hardware or with antique hardware for an authentic period look, creating everything from modern cabinetry to rustic country cabinets.
The European Overlay
The European style of cabinet cabinet maximizes all available storage space. All doors, drawer fronts and panels are hung on the casework using the latest in European, removable hardware. This kitchen cabinet look is more contemporary, with a 1/8 inch margin between all doors and drawer fronts.
Both Face Frame and European overlay kitchen cabinet styles can be manufactured in any choice of wood , door design or finish. The same method of case construction and high quality hardware are used for both cabinet styles. (see Attention to Detail)
